The community collaborates in choosing the well location, forming a maintenance committee, and contributing resources like land, food, and shelter for the drilling team. In return, the well and pump become community property, symbolizing Christ’s love. A local ministry partner uses the well as a gateway to build relationships and spread the Gospel through resources like written or audio Bibles, literacy classes, and church plants. Project costs typically range from $2,000-$5,000, depending on the location.
