In areas where water is available, but highly contaminated, we can focus on water filtration solutions. One of our ministry partners in India recently distributed 50 water filters and taught people how to construct simple household filtration units using a filter and a bucket. These filters are extremely effective, very simple to use, and can last for years with very basic simple maintenance.
50 households in a very impoverished area now have water that is safe to drink, and which will help to eliminate water borne diseases which typically plague communities like this one.
